Hey there! Thanks for checking out my blog. Today I will be sharing my favourite foundations.
**Disclaimer: Some of the products have been gifted but all opinions expressed are mine.
Now it seems like the older I get, the more my skin changes. I used to be wiping oil off of my forehead, now my skin has finally balanced out. As a result, what I wear on my skin has also changed, including my foundation.
When it comes to my make-up I need it to be quick and easy to work with. I am a mother to two beautiful little girls who need me, like, all the time. I am a wife to a wonderful husband, who needs me… all the time. So I am sure you understand when I say, time is of essence. That’s why these make the cut.
That’s also why I bought them and have used them this year.

Personally, I am a sucker for matte skin. I blame it on my problematic and somewhat traumatic teenage (and oily) skin experience when I was in high school.
So when Maybelline came out with their Superstay Long Lasting Full Coverage liquid foundation, I made sure to get it at my nearest drugstore. Not only did it provide a matte skin like finish but it lasted all day, despite the summer heat.
It covers all my imperfections. I don’t even have to wear concealer. This made my summer easier to deal with.
Now on the days when I wanted to have full coverage without the matte finish, I went with a classic.
The MAC Pro Longwear Foundation, has been one of the

most reliable foundation that I’ve ever used. It doesn’t dry out my skin. It gives me medium to full coverage easily. It’s easy to apply AND it’s TRAVEL FRIENDLY.
There’s a literal lock feature on this bottle. It’s genius.
I also love that this product is a team player, meaning it doesn’t act weird with different primers. It does the job and last a while without needing to retouch it. Not that I ever retouch my makeup but just in case I needed to, I wouldn’t have to.

This foundation is amazing and I really wish there were a whole lot more option with the shade range. I know some many girls who would benefit from this product, but can’t because of the limited shade available.
Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation is the foundation I’ve always wanted to own but I knew the chances of it being in my actual shade…well yeah.
Turns out they actual did have my shade. Oddly enough, it’s classified as a deep neutral…umm sure.
Nonetheless, I can’t hate on the actual product because it’s my actual skin colour. It’s full off vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid, which is great for my skin.
Perfect for me, since I’m old and I secretly love being carded at the liquor store.
It’s also available everywhere, so I don’t have go to a special store to get it.

Last but not least, Kat Von D True Portrait liquid foundation.
Now this gem is amazing. This is the foundation that makes my skin look like my skin but if you didn’t know me you’d swear my skin was flawless. It does that.
It’s a liquid foundation that gives a powder finish, so of course it leaves your skin matte.
What I love most about this foundation is that I don’t need a primer to use. I just use a hydrating moisturizer on my skin and then I apply my foundation to start my make up routine.
It’s vegan, cruelty-free and a little bit goes a long way. So yea, it’s worth the coin.
So that’s my list. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed raving about them.
What’s on your list?
