It’s been three years since I had my third baby, and motherhood still feels like a journey of constant change—especially when it comes to my body. While I’ve embraced many parts of this phase in life, I won’t sugarcoat it: there are still days when I look in the mirror and feel… disconnected. Like I’m inhabiting a body I don’t fully recognize.

My belly is softer and rounder than it used to be. My breasts are smaller, no longer full in the way they were when I was breastfeeding. I have rolls on my back that peek through fitted tops—something I never used to think twice about. And every time I try on clothes that no longer look or fit the way they used to, I feel it all over again.
This is the postpartum body that doesn’t always get talked about: not right after birth, but years later, when everyone assumes you’ve “bounced back.”

I haven’t had any surgical help. Liposuction and tummy tucks just aren’t in the cards for me right now—and that’s okay. Because I’ve learned that healing and acceptance are not about perfection, but about taking intentional steps to feel good as I am.
Here’s what has truly helped me:
💬 Words of Affirmation
Every morning, I remind myself:
“My body carried life.”
“I am strong, even if I don’t look like I used to.”
“I deserve to feel beautiful in the skin I’m in.”
It’s a small practice, but it shifts the energy. And on days when I’m struggling, those words help anchor me in love and compassion.

👚 Wearing Clothes That Actually Fit
I stopped punishing myself by holding onto clothes that no longer fit, thinking one day they might. I’ve started buying pieces that fit me—right now. That means stretchy waistbands, flowy tops, soft fabrics, and most importantly, things that don’t make me feel like I have to suck in or hide.
🩲 Comfortable, Supportive Underwear That Moves With Me
Let me shout this from the rooftops: Knix underwear has been a game changer. Their leakproof styles give me peace of mind, their high-rise fits offer gentle support, and most importantly, I feel comfortable. No digging, no awkward lines, just softness and security.
And if you’ve ever wanted to try Knix or stock up, now is the perfect time because…

Let’s dress for the bodies we’re in now, speak to ourselves with kindness, and give our postpartum selves the grace we deserve.
