So I suffer from dandruff. Not the cute “moisture your scalp and it’s gone” kind but the “let me shower you flakes on demand” kind.
Growing up, I didn’t know much about hair care but I knew excessive, and I mean excessive, itch was a problem. I was the only one in my family who couldn’t shed the itch…and flakes (pun intended).
Years and years went by and I am still dealing with the same problem. The thing is I have used other anti-dandruff shampoos, but one thing always bothered me. They DRY my hair out. By the time I’m done, I’ve got to condition, deep condition, leave-in treatments, etc.
Nobody has time for that..I don’t!
So I started to used Dove Dermacare Anti-Dandruff shampoo and it’s understandable as to why it won the Allure Best of Beauty award in 2017.
So like most anti-dandruff shampoos it contains Pyrithione Zinc, which is great for fighting dandruff, but unlike most dandruff shampoos, it has coconut oil and shea butter. They totally help keep my hair from drying out while leaving my scalp flake free.
So I’m totally in love with this shampoo. It’s worth the money and my hair and scalp loves it. Considering we’re heading into “hair trauma” season (aka winter) this is exactly what I need.
