La Roche-Posay Serozinc Review

Welcome back! I’m so glad to see you here. I have been trying new things and I’m so excited to share with you my thoughts on them. The thoughts expressed are completely my own (I bought it with my own money so…yeah).

Sit back, relax and enjoy the tea!

Lately my face has been a bit of a rebel. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I thought it could to be hormonal but this was out of the ordinary. Was I not drinking enough water? Was I sweating too much? Was my pillow case too dirty? Was I pregnant???

Although, I could start boosting my water intake, change my pillow case more often (I’m a mother, do not judge me) but no! I’m not pregnant.

My skin was telling me something was wrong. It needed something and it was my job to figure it out and provide.

That’s when I discovered La Roche-Posay Serozinc.

I had run out of my Effaclar Mat moisturizer and needed to replenish my stock. When I went to the store I happened to see that Serozinc was there as well. I didn’t think too much of it. What caught my eye is that, it came as a gift with purchase. So I thought, free?!? why not?

Well it didn’t take long before I fell in love with it.

20180902_120705-011501798927.jpegI had to research it’s usage, because to be honest. I didn’t know anything about it.

Is it a facial mist? Is it a toner? Is it an over priced spray bottle designed to bleed me financially dry instead of making my life easier?

According to the La Roche-Posay site it’s a toner. All you have to do is wash your face, spray your face with the mist, let it dry and moisturize.

Easy. Peasy.

This is most definitely the simplest toner I have ever used. No mess. No cotton balls to throw out. No wet fingers. Just spray, let it dry and keep it moving.

I’ve been using it for about  a week now. This is what I’ve noticed:)

  • My skin is clearer. The breakouts have diminished. No more painful pimples, or as I like to say, “I don’t look like I’m stuck in puberty!”
  • No more flakiness. For awhile, my skin was peeling. I was applying sunscreen(…some times). I couldn’t understand why my skin was throwing this tantrum. Clearly it needed to be soothed.
  • Smoother skin. A blank, smooth canvas makes for a great made up face. A great face makes a great confidence booster.
  • Mattified and hydrated skin. I didn’t know that combination existed but as I get older I know my skin will need to stay hydrated. It’s hard to do when you have combination/oily skin. But this has helped greatly.

This is available at most drug stores and department stores in Canada. I picked mine up at my local Rexall. Most of the time, it goes on sale there. Boom, more bang for my buck!

Have you tried this toner yet? How do you like it? Let me know in the comments below. I can’t wait to hear from you in the comments.
